SOILIE-3D is experimental software, not a validated model of human cognition.
Terms of use
Clear rules for a research prototype.
These terms cover the website, asynchronous scene generator, downloadable research artifacts, and opt-in public gallery.
Effective September 12, 2026
Use it to inspect and experiment.
Do not evade quotas, disrupt rendering, or misuse the public gallery.
A gallery removal password cannot be recovered if you lose it.
Acceptance and eligibility
By using SOILIE-3D, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not submit a generation or publish to the gallery. You must be legally able to accept these terms in your jurisdiction; a parent or guardian must supervise use by a minor.
Permitted use
You may browse the project, run the generator within posted limits, inspect or download your results, reproduce documented experiments, and share lawful outputs. You may not bypass quotas or access controls; interfere with the service; probe private storage; automate abusive workloads; misrepresent results or affiliation; impersonate another person; or use the service for unlawful, harmful, infringing, or deceptive activity.
Comparison research
The Research page reports AI judgements, not human-participant evidence. There is no public comparison task, and human enrollment is closed. A planned human study will require separate study information and consent materials before participation. Those materials and the then-current Privacy Notice will govern participation and data use.
Public gallery
Temporary retention is the default. Publishing is optional and makes the chosen display name, scene settings, metadata, and complete artifact set public. You are responsible for the display name and for keeping the removal password. Do not use a name that impersonates, harasses, infringes rights, or discloses another person’s information.
By publishing, you grant the project a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, cache, display, and distribute that entry for operation and research communication. You may end that licence for the public entry by removing it with its password, subject to brief cache and backup processing. The project may remove entries that breach these terms, create risk, or impair the research service.
Research status and generated outputs
SOILIE-3D is a cognitively inspired procedural scene generator and ongoing research prototype. It is not a peer-reviewed publication, a validated simulation of human imagination, professional advice, or a safety-critical system. Generated placements can be incomplete, implausible, or wrong. Inspect the manifest and placement data before drawing conclusions.
Project code, branding, site design, curated datasets, and third-party assets remain subject to their respective rights and licences. No exclusive ownership or guaranteed copyright status is promised for automatically generated outputs. You are responsible for deciding whether and how an output may be reused.
Limits, changes, and termination
Generation quotas, supported objects, retention periods, endpoints, and features may change. Jobs can fail, queues can pause, and the service or gallery can be suspended or discontinued without guaranteed notice. Results should be downloaded if you need a copy. Access may be limited or terminated to protect the project, infrastructure, or other visitors.
Disclaimers and contact
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness, non-infringement, or error-free operation to the fullest extent permitted by law. To that same extent, the project contributors and host are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-data damages arising from use of the service.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If one provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues. Questions, abuse reports, and takedown requests may be sent to mike.cichonski@gmail.com.
